Hand Wash Cold

Thanks for the great discussion of 'Hand Wash Cold' the other night!

I liked the balance of our conversation both with and without the author. I've been reflecting on her words the past couple of days and I am inspired by her. I appreciate the willingness of the group to read the book, particularly those who weren't so inspired, so thank you! It was interesting for me to hear all of the viewpoints. In fact, it's these love it/didn't love it conversations on all the book club books that I find so fascinating. What a great group of women! Thanks for putting together such a great book group Jennie, maybe you could Skype with us next time ;)  We miss you!

Karen and Tara, we missed you too...we'll see you in June at Nicole's house!

Oh, so here's a little how-to video on how to make the coconut whipped cream. Super easy and totally works for your dairy free friends ;)

And you all got me wondering if I was just making stuff up ...so I did a little research on 'the seven minute lull' and came back with this and this and this one (where someone refers to it as the 'Harvard Pause'...which I find just a wee bit stuffy, yes?). Interesting? Perhaps not.

And! I found a bottle of Beringer Chardonnay in the fridge from our meeting. I'm happy to bring it to the next meeting, what do you think?

Until the next Third Thursday Ladies, cheers!

I came home on a total high from the gathering! I also appreciated how kind everyone was with their criticism, and owned it. Sometimes it's less about a book and more about the right book at the right time (or the wrong book at the wrong time!). Love the exchange of ideas and laughter at each of our gatherings:)
Thanks for the coconut cream link, Cece!

I loved the book and can see myself reading it again. The Skype thing was cool and I got so much out of what Karen was saying. I'm excited for Nichole's pick: Spirit Matters: Down-to-Earth Tools for a Spirited Life.
Love, Cath... I will get the pics. on soon....
