I just started reading 'The Road' ... anyone know if it was it made into a movie? If I remember correctly, I started the film and chose to stop watching it because stories like this (disturbing, depressing, etc) stay with me for a long time. We'll see how the book goes. If I can get through it, I know I'll want to talk about it. Hooray for book club :) -----CeCe

Yes, the movie stars Viggo Mortensen. I haven't seen it, but it's coming up on one of the movie channels (HBO or something) pretty soon. Don't get too invested in the book, and maybe it won't bother you so much...it is quite depressing and disturbing, I can't say I liked it at all. But I actually finished it...whatever that is worth.
Ah, Viggo. Well, it's pretty hard for me not to get invested in what I'm reading, but I'm thinking that's a really good idea Mindy. I'm just left to wonder what kind of man Cormac is like...aren't all of his books this disturbing? Hmn.
